Serving Justice: ReMix'd

Serving Justice: ReMix'd was a successful event I planned and promoted for my client Ben & Jerry's. Justice ReMix'd is their newest flavor, dedicated to criminal justice reform. To educate attendees, we invited speakers from three Boston-based organizations: Black & Pink, Partakers, and Community Works. Over 200 people attended to sample the flavor and learn more about front-end criminal justice reform.

  • Increased social media engagement (likes, comments, shares) by 359.59% ten days before the event

  • Received 50 mentions or tags from influencer partnerships

  • Through these efforts, we reached at least 500 people per story, resulting in approximately 25,000 impressions

  • Created and distributed event flyer

  • Invited Instagram influencers and food bloggers

  • Landed placement in The Daily Free Press

  • Developed press release and media pitch for traditional media outlets

Universal Human Rights International

During my time at Boston University, I participated in PRoBono, an overnight PR marathon where teams take on a non-profit client and work through the night to help their organization fulfill their communication needs. My client was Universal Human Rights International, a nonprofit focused on the rehabilitation of refugees, specifically focused on Liberian refugees.

  • As head of the social media team, I created an Instagram social calendar, developing 25 unique posts.

  • We developed a brand kit for the organization, encouraging them to follow our color scheme of black, gold and white.

  • We rebranded the organization, creating a new logo, building social media pages from the ground up (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)

marlo marketing blog posts

As a Public Relations intern at marlo marketing, one of my responsibilities was to curate monthly blog posts for the company website. These were meant to have a semi-casual tone while relating to the PR and marketing industry. Linked below are two blog articles I wrote in my time at marlo.

  • Developed press release and media pitch for traditional media outlets, landing placement in The Daily Free Press

  • Designed flyer and posted on social media

  • Served ice cream to over 100 students

  • 27 participants registered to vote

  • Increased social media engagement (likes, comments, shares) by 5% ten days before event

TMRW Music Articles

As part of my responsibilities as an intern at TMRW Music, I wrote dozens of articles for the label's website promoting new song releases and upcoming artists. I gained experience coding the website and building these web pages as well as creating branded content to post to the social media pages.
